3 Item(s) Page 1 of 1 | 1 How It WorksDeer, rabbits, groundhogs and other herbivores, which eat your plants, are the natural prey of meat-eating carnivores. They will instinctively avoid areas where an animal may have been injured or brought down by a predator. To a deer or rabbit, the main ingredients in I Must Garden All Natural Animal Repellent indicates the presence of a carnivore. Not wanting to become the next victim, the animals will avoid the treated area altogether and see it as an unsafe place to eat. Animal byproducts such as blood and meat meal are used in other repellents, but our granules are also infused with additional botanical oils, making it stronger, more effective, and longer lasting than blood meal alone, and also remedies the problem with unpleasant odors. The botanical oils are derived from plants that the animals avoid in nature due to their smell and taste. Application TipsApplication is simple: generously sprinkle our powerful granules around the base of flowers, shrubs, trees, or vegetables. You may also apply it around perimeters by creating a 16-inch strip around the area to be protected. Apply interior strips every 5 inches on beds larger than 8 by 10 feet. The larger herbivores like deer, elk, and moose may require heavier application rates than the smaller ones like rabbits, groundhog, and opossums. Reapply as necessary. I Must Garden Deer and Rabbit Spray Repellents are incredibly effective. Like all of our products, they do not have offensive odors like other repellents and they are water resistant. We are constantly told how they work where other repellents failed. They are most effective and last longest when it is applied to DRY plants. But what do you do when it is time to spray and it is raining? I Must Garden Granular Animal Repellent! Our granular repellent allows you to apply a layer of protection in any weather. How do you protect plants when there's nothing left?Have you ever come across a plant that deer supposedly do not eat only to find it totally devoured? Unfortunately, there is sometimes no growth to spray in those situations - only twigs and branches will be left! What can you do to reclaim your plants? Sprinkle a protective barrier of our Animal Repellent around your plants then once the leaves start growing again, you can protect them with spray. With our granular repellent you can protect even the tiniest new growth as well as those lower lying plants that may not be as easy to spray thoroughly. As your plants grow taller, you can use our spray repellant on the higher portions and keep the granular repellent around the base to make sure your plants are well protected. This repellant is also great for protecting new growth of fast-growing plants that you cannot always keep up with spraying. By using our spray along with our granulated formula, your plants will have optimum protection from foraging animals. Do you need more tips for repelling animals? |
