Geese are large migratory birds, native to North America, and they inhabit the arctic and temperate regions. The well-known Canadian Goose, which has a black head and neck with a brownish or gray body, breeds in Canada and migrates south. They were previously over-hunted in the early 20th century, but now have become the most common waterfowl in the United States. In recent years, geese have taken up permanent residence in some areas due to human food scraps providing consistent sustenance throughout the winter. The areas that are more likely to be targets of geese have more mild winters, are populated enough that they can find plenty of food, and still feature large areas of land, such as golf courses, for nesting. In these areas the flocks are notorious for making a mess of yards and lawns. Populations of these birds have widely increased recently as well due to elimination of their natural predators and they are now considered pests by many.
A flock of geese that has either taken up residence in your yard or is making a stop while passing through during migration can make a huge unsightly mess with their waste. Bird droppings are also unhealthy and can ruin your outdoor experience. They also eat green vegetation and some grasses. With I Must Garden’s All Natural Goose Repellent, you do not need to worry about these birds taking advantage of your property, nor will you have to bother with obnoxious nose-makers trying to scare them into moving on.
Works on Turkeys and Ducks too
I Must Garden’s All Natural Goose Repellent will keep geese, as well as turkeys and ducks, away from your plants and off of your property in a safe and humane manner. Our repellent is available in 32oz Hose End Sprayer and 32oz Concentrate. Our concentrated formula makes 2.5 gallons of repellent and is excellent for covering larger areas. Unlike some concentrates that must be used within 24 hours, ours can be mixed and stored for later use. |
How It Works
I Must Garden’s All Natural Goose Repellent works by making your lawn an unpleasant place for geese, turkeys, and ducks to nest, feed, and foul. The birds do not like the feel, smell, or the taste and will be discouraged from feeding on treated areas. Their food source will no longer be appetizing and they will have no choice, but to move on. By blending specifically selected botanical oils with other tested ingredients we have developed a unique formula, specifically for these birds. It is a complex and strong mixture, formulated to last a long time and be the most effective.
Like all of our products, our Goose Repellent is fully guaranteed to work without having an unpleasant stench like other repellents on the market. Because we use only all natural ingredients, it is not harmful for the environment and is a safe alternative to use around your pets and family.
Application Tips
Spray areas like lawns, fields, pond/lake edges, golf courses, even sidewalks. For the best results, apply at the very first sign of problems before feeding habits are established. Grass should be cut prior to application, but it is not necessary to blow or rake clipping from grass. Apply to dry grass and avoid irrigation to prolong effectiveness. It is best to avoid applying repellent during heat of the day, but it may be applied year round as long as the temperature is above freezing. Reapply every 3-4 weeks, or, as necessary, to maintain control.
Our 32oz Hose End Sprayer is simple to use. With the sprayer control valve in the OFF position, attach the sprayer to your garden hose. Face the nozzle toward the area to be treated, then turn on the water supply and snap off the safety tab. Turn the valve to ON and just spray areas with our goose repellent that are frequented by geese, turkeys and/or ducks.
For our 32oz concentrate, simply mix the desired amount with a ratio of 1 part concentrate to 9 parts water and then spray the desired areas.
