Wilt-Pruf® Guards Against Moisture Loss Year Round!
WILT-PRUF® is a natural product derived from the resin of the pine tree, applied to plant leaves to reduce transpiration of moisture.
When evergreens have been exposed to extreme drying conditions such as frozen roots in the winter or hot drying winds in drought stricken areas, they might not have enough moisture in their foliage to survive without help. Wilt-Pruf® gives them the added protection they need during these long severe periods of water stress.
- Protects plants against cold drying winds of winter and hot drying winds of summer
- Protects plants when roots are frozen in the winter depriving them of their normal moisture intake as well as during periods of drought.
- Protects tender transplants while their root systems are developing. Tubers and bulbs do better in storage when first sprayed or dipped with Wilt-Pruf®.
- Protects and extends the life of Christmas trees and wreaths by reducing moisture loss.
How to Use Wilt-Pruf® Concentrate
Spray Wilt-Pruf® as long as the spray does not freeze on the foliage while spraying. Allow two or three hours for drying time in daylight (not necessarily sunlight). Wilt-Pruf® is a film forming polymer and needs ultraviolet daylight rays in order for the spray to set up or polymerize.
Shake or stir the concentrate containers (depending on the size of the container) thoroughly before pouring Wilt-Pruf® into the water.
Wilt-Pruf® concentrate MUST be added to water … not water to Wilt-Pruf®. Make sure you have a container to pour the water into first.
Mix it well! An electric drill with a mixer attachment can be used to thoroughly stir a container. Once mixed, Wilt-Pruf® may be sprayed with any pressure type trombone, pump or power sprayer except hose end. The more pressure, the better the spray pattern!

Protect your pumpkins in a few easy steps.
Wilt-Pruf will serve as a protective layer that keeps moisture in and prevents the pumpkin from drying out and looking shriveled.
(1) Clean pumpkin, being sure to remove all the seeds and loose pulp.
(2) Ensure pumpkin is outdoors on a protected space to avoid over-spraying on unwanted areas.
(3) Mix One-Teaspoon bleach to One-Gallon of clean water to either submerge (preferred method) or spray the inside, outside and cut areas of the pumpkin.
- Bleach kills bacteria living on pumpkins causing mold and rot.
- Prevents Locking bacteria inside the protective coating.
(4) Allow excess moisture to dissipate so there are no visible water droplets on the pumpkin.
(5) Spray the inside, outside and cut areas of the pumpkin with Wilt-Pruf RT or pre-mixed concentrate until all areas are covered and there is run off onto the ground.
(6) Allow the pumpkin to dry for 3 - 4 hours of daylight (not necessarily sunlight) for Wilt-Pruf to properly set.
(7) With any pumpkin, use of battery-operated lights instead of real candles is recommended for longevity and safety.
(8) Display pumpkin for all to enjoy.
